My yard is a bonanza of color. The Autumn Blaze Maple has turned tangerine red, the Ash supernova yellow. Bright leaves pile up under them. Today the wind has picked up, and it’s my chance to employ a life-hack that I learned through years of diligent procrastination. If I wait long enough to rake leaves the wind blows them into my neighbor’s yard. It’s happening right now. They swirl around the Ash, take flight and skitter down the sidewalk. I sit on the couch sipping coffee while Mother Nature cleans up my lawn. Life is sweet.
